Kelley has been working in volunteer management for over 15 years. She comes to us from a long career in animal welfare, serving pets and people. She has been an active volunteer herself since the age of 16. She follows the principles of servant leadership: encourage diversity of thought, create a culture of trust, have an unselfish mindset, and foster leadership in others. Working with volunteers restores her faith in humanity on a daily basis. “I’m so grateful to get to do what I love with the Meals on Wheels family.”
When she is not at Meals on Wheels, Kelley is the executive director for a small rescue that pairs veterans with shelter pets. She is also the proud pet parent of 4 cats, 2 dogs, and a leopard gecko. In her free time she enjoys hiking our beautiful mountains, reading, and watching superhero movies.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
