Now more than ever we understand the importance of our neighbors. As we all practice social distancing to protect the most vulnerable in our communities, Meals on Wheels of Boulder is continuing with our most important work—providing nutritious meals and a daily well-being check to Boulder residents.
Our team at Meals on Wheels of Boulder is closely following developments surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak and we’re here to help people stay “safer at home”. We deliver meals five days a week with frozen meals available for weekends to anyone confined to their home. Our clients rely on our meals and the daily visit from a volunteer to help them remain at home, maintain health longer, and improve the quality of their lives. We know how important it is that these meals continue to arrive at their homes.
We also know it is critical we keep all our clients, volunteers, and staff safe and healthy, so we have now implemented “No-Contact Deliveries,” which adhere to social distancing practices and ensure public safety. We are also reducing the handling of food and person-to-person interaction as much as possible.
We know the critical importance of preparation in times like this and understand the delicate balance between panic and preparedness. We hope that there will be no disruption in service and that healthcare professionals will find a way to end this pandemic soon. In the meantime, we will continue to share information and updates as we have them.
Thank you for being an important part of our community! Please know we are here if you need us.
